Tea Time with Boy George
For Pride month, Waze enlisted the help of LGBTQ+ icon Boy George to spread his particular brand of inclusion and pride through a set of custom turn-by-turn directions sprinkled with wisdom, encouragement and love. The experience was meant to feel like an intimate conversation with the man himself - and it was. In addition to the voice directions, users could have a conversation with George via our social channels, where he answered questions about about life, love, music and scones.

Pride Month Moods
In addition to the turn-by-turn directions and ‘Tea Time’ conversation on our social channels, Waze users could choose from a custom set of Boy George inspired “moods” to represent them on the Waze map. The moods reflected the colorful & quirky style of Boy George, and gave users a unique way to share their pride with everyone else on the road.
